The Girl Child Summit is an annual event that empowers young girls by providing them a platform to engage with experts, global leaders, civil society organizations, public and private institutions, and diplomatic missions. This unique space facilitates discussions on the challenges faced by girls while fostering the exchange of actionable strategies to empower and advocate for their rights and well-being.
HACEY is hosting its 11th Girl Child Summit, focused on creating a transformative platform to drive collective action towards advancing the health, empowerment, and rights of girls. We aim to catalyze actionable initiatives, policy changes, and partnerships to ensure girls have the opportunities, support, and resources to thrive and fulfil their potential. This year, we aim to reach and empower over 6,000 girls, amplify the voices of girls, and increase awareness for girl-child investment.

Over 10 years of empowering young girls
The Girl Child Summit is an annual event that empowers young girls by providing them a platform to engage with experts, global leaders, policymakers, advocates, civil society organizations, public and private institutions, and diplomatic missions. This unique space facilitates discussions on the challenges faced by girls while fostering the exchange of actionable strategies to empower and advocate for their rights and well-being. For over a decade, the summit has fostered dialogue on the challenges facing girls in Nigeria, driving the development of effective strategies to protect and advance their rights and well-being. The Girl-Child Summit has directly impacted over 10,000 young girls across more than 500 schools, celebrated 8 essay competition winners, and engaged over 80 girls as HACEY Girls Advisory Board members.
The summit has become a catalyst for positive change by creating a space for intergenerational learning and amplifying girls’ voices.
