We kicked off the month celebrating our amazing team for all their impactful contributions to the success of the organization in commemoration of 2024 workers day.

We hosted the PAVE program in Magboro, Ogun state and it was fun and educating. The girls were happy to learn about self-awareness. We believe that by equipping more girls with essential knowledge on self-perception, we can empower them to build a brighter future, not just for themselves, but for the world around them. Our passion lies in seeing girls empowered and thriving, reaching their full potential.

In a bid to elevate discussions on Sexual And Reproductive Health And Rights (SRHR), we engaged stakeholders through our SRHR impact plus projects, empowering CSO’s and NGO’s with skills and knowledge to develop and produce media contents relatable to Adolescents and Young Persons (AYP). A major aim is to enable AYPs to have the right information and materials on SRHR, as well as fill in the gap created by lack of content and media materials on SRHR. This was a guided effort, to ensure that CBO’s, NGO’s and individuals fulfil their roles on SRHR effectively.

We used our platform to advocate for healthy and safe living by raising public awareness of the importance of safe driving and road practices. Road safety entails a wide range of measures and practices aimed at preventing road accidents, reducing injuries, and saving lives, emphasizing the importance of wearing seat belts, the dangers of speeding, and other risky behaviors.

The PAVE Project hosted an amazing Career Day for students at St Francis Grammar school, Lagos Mainland, that left these students inspired and motivated! The event was a fantastic opportunity for the students to gain valuable insight. They interacted with professionals from various fields, asked questions, and gain insights into the day-to-day responsibilities, skills required, and potential career paths within different industries. From discovering new passions to forging valuable connections, the day was all about embracing the journey of career exploration for these young ones.

With the commitment to improve maternal health outcomes, HACEY implemented Project Agbebi phase 5 in Ekiti, Ondo and Enugu. The project addressed maternal health issues, by empowering women with safe birth education, and providing them with essential birthing kits, to ensure safe and healthy birth for both mother and child. Join us to ensure safe motherhood is achieved.

Every two minutes, a child’s life is cut short by the devastating impact of malaria. But amidst this staggering reality, there’s hope. With the support of AIICO Insurance we relentlessly pursuit our #EndMalaria campaign, where every action counts. We carried out malaria test, sensitizing communities on improper sanitation, and providing them with long-lasting insecticide-treated nets, via the #EndMalariaCampaign.

We also celebrated the 2024 children’s day recognizing the joy, innocence, and boundless potential of every child. Let’s keep empowering them with the right knowledge and skills.

HACEY, over the years, through her various Projects has worked hard to break the silence around periods, tackling the stigma often associated with them, and raised awareness of the importance of menstrual hygiene for girls and women. On World Menstrual Hygiene-day, HACEY, empowered girls with sound and accurate education about menstruation, debunking myths and having open conversations about menstrual challenges which makes them well equipped for a hygienic menstrual period. 400 adolescent girls from JS3, SS1, and SS2 at Ijaloke Grammar School in Ekiti State gathered for an enlightening session which featured insightful talks on menstruation, menstrual hygiene, and health tips. Dr. Efe emphasized the importance of self-esteem, while Miss Ogechukwu Ezeh debunked menstrual myths and shared vital information on sexual and reproductive health. 400 menstrual pads were distributed, and emergency menstrual hygiene kits and posters were donated to the school.

Women around the world face a variety of health issues that can significantly impact their well-being and quality of life. These issues range from maternal mortality, sexual violence, menstrual disorders, and poor access to prenatal and postnatal care. HACEY is dedicated to alleviating these health concerns among women via her various projects. On this International Day of Action for Women’s Health, let’s all commit to taking continuous and impactful actions to ensure every woman has the opportunity to live a healthy and fulfilling life.
