For decades, women have continued to face a higher risk of financial and social vulnerability and exclusion, with humanitarian crises such as conflicts and pandemics further increasing such vulnerabilities and widening the gaps in development. With women facing disproportionate negative impacts of these crises, strategies that adequately account for and respond to the inclusion of gender-specific issues are necessary to ensure inclusion and equality.
With support from Access Bank, the HACEY Panel session at the 67th UNCSW will convene key drivers in gender, inclusion and policy-making to provide critical insights on frameworks that promote women’s economic inclusion and adopt gender-intentional programming while mitigating unintended negative gendered consequences. The session will facilitate interactive discussions with stakeholders to share sustainable strategies and solutions to closing the inequality gap that limits women’s access to economic opportunities. The hour-long session is open to all registered and unregistered participants of the NGOCSW67 Forum and UNCSW67.
