Winners of End Female Genital Mutilation Competition Awarded In Ekiti State

In commemoration of the International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation. HACEY Health Initiative organized an essay competition tagged “End Female Genital Mutilation Essay Competition” in the states of Oyo, Osun, and Ekiti.

Recall that, the organization had honored the top five winners from Oyo state for having the best overall performance last week. Barr. Rahman Abiodun Abdul-Raheem, Oyo State Commissioner of Education presented the award to the state’s top five winners.

On March 9th, HACEY recognized 5 more winners from Ekiti state. The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, represented by the Director of Schools, Mr. Ajayi O. R., hosted the organization at the Ministry of Education Conference Hall in Ado Ekiti.

Olamiju Abimbola Joy of Ekiti State Government College Ikere topped, with Ogundipe Kehinde Esther and Aborisade Omotolani Sarah of Christ Girls School Ado Ekiti placing second and third, respectively. Ayodele Susan Mary Mofopefuoluwa of St. Louis Grammar School Ikere Ekiti finished fourth, while Oladapo Oluwaferanmi Aanuoluwa of Mary Immaculate Grammar School Ado Ekitiwere came in fifth. 

The award ceremony was graced by Mr. Ojareche P. E., Director of Science, Technology, and Mathematics, and Mr. Ogunjesa, B. E., Deputy Director of Schools.
